Our Favorite Easter Books for Kids (Meaningful, Beautiful, & Worth Adding to Your Basket)

One of our favorite Easter traditions is reading books together all season long. Books have become a big part of how we celebrate holidays in our home. slow down and create intentional moments together.

Each year, we pull out a special collection of Easter stories that we read together in the weeks leading up to Easter. Some are fun and whimsical, some are beautifully illustrated, and some gently point back to the true meaning of the holiday.

If you’re building an Easter basket this year, consider adding some books. These are the books we truly love and come back to every Spring.

Why We Add Books to Our Easter Basket

Before we get to our favorite titles, I’d like to share why this is so meaningful.

  • Books are a great alternative to candy
  • They create intentional family moments
  • Kids come back to them year after year
  • They connect us to both joy and meaning

Even adding just one book to your Easter tradition can make a big impact.

Mom tip: To add books to Easter baskets, you don’t have to spend a ton of money, you can just cycle through books you already have. Since you only pull these out once a year, it is still fun and exciting getting to read it again (or for some kids, they have no idea they read it before – WIN!)
